Treatment
What does a treatment involve and how long does it take?
An initial consultation takes 45 mins and involves the physiotherapist asking a series of questions to learn about your problem. Based on those findings, the physiotherapist will then ask you to perform certain movements to further diagnose the source and cause of your problem. During the initial assessment there is usually time for some hands-on treatment if appropriate. You will also be prescribed some home exercises and given advice handouts about your condition.
A subsequent consultation takes 30 mins and we recommend you book in for 2 separate consultations during the week if there are two or more problems. The physiotherapist will reassess you by asking some follow-up questions and looking at select movements. Further treatment may be required and exercises are checked and progressed if required.
