Branches
Physiotherapy Pilates Proactive has branches in Stirling and Parkside. Both have physiotherapy treatment rooms, fully quipped Pilates studios and a large carpeted area for Mat classes. Our Stirling practice is located in Stirling Arcade on Mount Barker Road and our Parkside practice is on the corner of Glen Osmond and Kenilworth Roads, next to Parkside Primary School.
Treatment Rooms
Treatment rooms are available for hands-on physiotherapy and the Pilates equipment studios are fully equipped with the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Multi-chair, Torso Barrel and Ladder Barrel. Mats are provided for our classes as well as Props such as the Exercise Ball, Magic Circle, Foam Roller, Theraband, Chiball, Franklin Ball, Soffy Ball and free weights.
Real Time Ultrasound
We also have Real Time Ultrasound machines on site at both practices which are used as both an assessment tool and as a training aid. This involves evaluating abdominal muscle size, shape and structure, as well as function during physical activity and exercise. The value of the real-time image is that it allows the physio and the client to study the muscles as they contract. It can help in the management of:
- Low back pain
- Pelvic floor weakness or dysfunction
- Postural problems
- Hip conditions
- Functional instability of the spine
- Pre and post natal
- Bladder function and continence
- Post surgery
- Pilates technique
Changing facilities and toilets are available on site.
